Join Fabulous Fads exhibition Co-Curator Carol Butzke on a tour through the museum's current exhibition, then be delighted with a trunk show featuring more treasures from Carol's personal collection.
Carol Butzke is well-known quilt appraiser, collector, researcher, and teacher. Carol is certified by the American Quilter’s Society as a textile appraiser, is one of four instructors for the American Quilter’s Society’s Certification Program and is a member of the Certification Board and a member of PAAQT, the Professional Association of Appraisers—Quilted Textiles. She is also a National Quilting Association Certified Judge, teacher, lecturer, quilt maker, and quilt collector. She has served on the Board of Directors of the National Quilting Association, Wisconsin Quilters, Inc., the Wisconsin Quilt History Project. She has served as Show Judging Coordinator for National Quilting Association’s national shows in Tulsa, OK and Charlotte, NC and on the NQA faculty teaching Quilt Judging Seminar, which is a two-day course to familiarize candidates with the judging process. She is an award-winning quilter, with quilts featured in American Quilter, Quilter’s Newsletter Magazine, All Flags Flying, Great American Quilts 1995, Quilt Art Engagement Calendar, The Quilt: Beauty in Fabric and Thread, America’s Glorious Quilts, Pine Tree Quilts, One Quilt, One Moment: Quilts that Change Lives and on the cover of a college history textbook.
