Description
Wit/Whim explores the themes of play, family, and a sense of belonging, inviting visitors to examine the intricate ways these concepts intersect and influence out lives. The features artists create immersive worlds with their work, experiment with different materials, and provide insightful reflections on their personal stories.
This exhibit encourages visitors to contemplate essential questions about joy and community: How do we forge the bonds that connect us? What role does play have in the creative process? Through a blend of documentary and personal narratives, the artists in "Wit/Whim" sensitively explore their biographies, relationships with the world, and the essence of human connection and community.
Wit/Whim expansively considers contemporary fiber art and includes the artists Russell Barratt, Susie Brandt, Ella Clemons, Will Grimm, Jeila Gueramnian, Luke Haynes and Nicole Leth, Lexy Ho-Tai, Julian Jamaal Jones, Yr Johannsdottir, Ali Kijima, Emilie Trahan, and Anna Torma.
